Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS)
Consciousness level by eye opening, verbal response, and motor response. Total range 3–15.
About this calculator
GCS is the standard tool for consciousness assessment in TBI and other acute conditions. Brain Trauma Foundation 4th ed. (2016) defines severe (3–8), moderate (9–12), and mild (13–15). At total ≤ 8, consider airway protection.
